Our Story
Jophiel Inc. is a third-generation, AAPI, women-led organization. Created from a deeply personal journey of resilience, healing, and hope—a journey shared between a mother and daughter. Our founder, Jazzlyn Bugarin, and her Mom, Julie Bugarin, both experienced the life-altering challenges of Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW), a condition that not only impacted our physical health but also tested our emotional strength and daily lives.
Facing TSW together created a unique bond and an unshakable determination to turn pain into purpose. While Jazzlyn navigated the uncertainty and isolation that often comes with this condition, and watched her mother suffer the same fate, she realized how many others around the world were silently suffering without adequate support, recognition, or resources.
What started as a personal fight for healing became a mission to build something bigger: provide financial support for TSW warriors, a platform for awareness, and a movement to inspire change. In March 2024, Jophiel Inc. was established as a nonprofit organization with the goal of advocating for those affected by TSW and other skin conditions.
At Jophiel Inc., we aim to spread awareness about TSW, amplify the voices of those impacted, and provide tangible support—from funding life-changing treatments to hosting community-building events. Our work is rooted in the belief that no one should face this journey alone, and everyone deserves access to healing and hope.
This is more than just an organization; it’s a testament to the strength of a community that refuses to be silenced. Together, we strive to uplift, empower, and inspire others to join us in making a real, lasting impact.
